The Oconto Falls Friends of the Arts recently awarded four scholarships for excellence in the arts. Recipients of the $250 scholarships are Carissa Trepanier, choir; Jennifer Lyng, band; Quinn Bauer, drama; and Molly Carlson, art.
Trepanier will study communications and religious studies at St. Norbert College in De Pere and participate in the college choral music program. She is the daughter of Mark and Amy Trepanier, of Oconto Falls.
Lyng will attend Michigan Technological University in Houghton to pursue a degree in electrical engineering, with a minor in music. She is the daughter of Kent and Rosemary Lyng, of Lena.
Bauer will attend the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to major in technical theater. He is the son of Mike and Erika Bauer, of Lena.
Carlson will attend the Delaware College of Art and Design in Wilmington, Del., and major in animation. She is the daughter of Craig Carlson and Dawn Bare, of Pulaski.
This is the 11th year the Friends of the Arts awarded scholarships to graduates who made a significant impact on others through the arts.
