Jeff “Huey” Pierquet, 66, Stiles, died peacefully Saturday evening, Nov. 22, 2014, at Aurora hospital, with Sandy by his side. He lived with CLL leukemia for the last 13 years. Jeff was born March 1, 1948. His parents, Marvin and Jeanette (Pohlman) Pierquet, raised Jeff in Green Bay where he graduated from Preble High School with the Class of 1966.
On Feb. 10, 1973, he married Sandra Heraly-Groves, and they had 41-plus years together. Jeff enjoyed his cabin in Florence, riding his Harley, fishing, hunting and working in his shop. He retired from the Oconto Falls School District in June of 2013 after 32-plus years in maintenance.
Survivors are his wife, Sandy Pierquet, Stiles; his father, Marv Pierquet, Green Bay; two brothers and two sisters, Holly (Mike) Charles, Green Bay; Pat Pierquet, Ohio; Bill (Sandy) Pierquet, Georgia; Kris (Steve) Hock, Green Bay; one brother-in-law, Mark (Jan) Lannoye, Denmark; his special Bret, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and an infant son.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Visitation will continue from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Nicolet Memorial Gardens Chapel in Green Bay, followed by a short committal service. Burial will take place in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
The Pierquet family would like to thank Dr. Petel and staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and the 3rd floor doctors and staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center for the care and concern given Jeff.
