The Machickanee Players announce the first comedy of their 33rd season, “Dearly Beloved,” directed by Kay Johnson and Chris Weis and written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten.
Laughs abound as Frankie Futrelle is throwing a wedding for her daughter with the help of her sister Twink, who wants to marry her boyfriend of 15 years, and her other sister Honey Raye, whose numerous trips down the aisle have been a topic of gossip for years. All seems to be going well until Futrelle discovers the catered dinner is now a potluck. What will happen next?
Dinner theater performances are scheduled at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 and 24. The cost is $25 per person; tickets must be purchased 72 hours in advance.
Stand-alone shows are scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 and 23. Tickets are $12. Walk-ins are welcome, but a reservation will ensure the best seating.
The pie shows are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25. Tickets are $17 a person and must be purchased 72 hours in advance. Walk-ins are welcome but are not guaranteed a slice of pie.
