Eberhart Steinbuck, 82, of Mountain, passed away on Oct. 9, 2015, at Sharpe Care Nursing Home in Oconto Falls. He was born Sept. 2, 1933, and grew up in Evanston, Illinois.
He joined the United States Navy during the Korean War and served on the submarine U.S.S. Picuda. After serving his country, he returned to Evanston and joined the Evanston Police Force. He retired after 27 years and moved to Wisconsin in 1990 with his soul mate Lee Lindwall.
Eberhart is survived by his daughter, Cary Steinbuck; a son, Mark (Catherine) Steinbuck; two sisters, Kathleen Rouillard and Mary Jo (Fred) Armbrust; a brother, Tom (Murlene) Steinbuck; grandchildren, Christina (Christopher) Rice, Mark (Anna Lee) Steinbuck; two stepsons, Brett Johnson and Brian Johnson; a granddaughter, Audrey Johnson.
Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. with Sister Marla Clercx officiating.
