Five singers from Oconto Falls High School were selected to perform in the All-State Honors Choir organized by the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association. The students were recommended by their high school choral director, Amy Thiel, and selected based on their outstanding musicianship and character.
The All-State Women’s Choir was conducted by Beth Holmes, of Milliken University. The All-State Men’s Choir was conducted by Eric Barnum of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
One hundred top singers from across Wisconsin were selected to be part of each choir. Students rehearsed on Friday and Saturday before presenting a performance in Lawrence University’s Memorial Chapel in Appleton.
Both ensembles received standing ovations from the over 1,000 concert attendees.
