Shawano’s Troy Springborn and Steve Kastning each ended up with 220 points in the dire late models division, but Springborn was crowned champion in the standings after the Sept. 5 races at the Shawano Speedway. Shawano’s Brett Swedberg was in third place with 218 points.
In the sport modifieds division, Oconto Fall’s Cole Magnin was the champion with 542 points. He topped Tigerton’s Forrest Kernen at 530 and Seymour’s Tim Jorgenson at 514.
Jeffery Teske, of Shawano, won the modifieds title with 556 points, followed by Shawano’s Jordan Bartz with 547 and Wausau’s Kevin Feck with 531.
Wisconsin Rapids’ Mark Eswein won the stock car division with 539 points. He beat out Oconto Falls’ Kyle Frederick with 518 and Clintonville’s Jeremie Hedrick with 504.
Finally, in the sport compact division, Clintonville’s Brad Wedde won with 527. He beat Clintonville’s Tanner Westphal with 524 and Marion’s Justin Haufe with 494.
Swedberg moved up seven spots to capture the checkered flag in the dirt late models feature race on Championship Night.
New London’s Justin Ritchie finished second, followed by Marshfield’s Chris Oertel in third.
Swedberg also won the first heat race, and Shawano’s Joe Reuter won the second.
In the sport modifieds, Appleton’s Joey Taycher moved up six spots to win the feature. He beat out Fox Lake’s Elijah Koenig, who placed second, and Chilton’s Carsin Cullen, who placed third.
Koenig won the first heat, Gresham’s Taylor Hoffman won the second, and Shawano’s AJ Springborn won the third.
Teske won the modifieds feature race, after starting sixth. He topped Wausau’s Marcus Yarie and Tigerton’s Wyatt Block.
Heat winners were Feck and Bartz.
Marion’s Dan Michonski won the stock car feature, moving up from a sixth-place start. Seymour’s Jerry Wilinksi was second, and Shiocton’s Dylan Stadjee was third.
Wilinski won the first heat, Hedrick won the second, and Black Creek’s Chad Guyette won the third.
In the sport compact division, Green Bay’s TJ Everard won the feature. He also started on the pole. Seymour’s Nick Everard finished second, and Westphal was third.
In a second feature, Bonduel’s Clint Malueg won from a fourth-place start. Seymour’s Bo White was second, and Wedde was third.
Heat winners were Shawano’s Carl King, TJ Everard and Nick Everard.
