The Chargers had bookends of four runs in the first and sixth inning, with another four in between to end Amherst’s season. Amherst also committed nine errors.
Kendall Lex was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while Chloe Hanson was 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored. Brie Ladika was 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Rory Salvesen hit 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored, and Kennedy Benbo was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Lex pitched all six innings for the win. She gave up two runs on five hits, walked one and struck out five.
