Oconto Falls 12, Waupaca 10
The No. 9 seed Panthers topped No. 8 Waupaca 12-10 in the opening round of WIAA regional action. Oconto Falls advanced to the Round 2 game at No. 1 Fox Valley Lutheran on May 26.
Xavier 13, Menominee Nation 0
The No. 9 Eagles ended their season with a 13-0 shutout at the hands — and bats — of No. 8 seed Xavier.
Xavier will play at No. 1 Wittenberg-Birnamwood on May 26.
Coleman 13, Bowler/Gresham 0
Bowler/Gresham, the No. 10 seed team, was shut out 13-0 by No. 7 Coleman in regional action.
Coleman advanced to play No. 2 Auburndale on May 26.
Shiocton 7, Gillett/Suring 2
The No. 8 seed Shiocton defeated No. 9 Gillett/Suring 7-2 to end the season for the Oconto County team.
Shiocton moved to play at No. 1 Bonduel on May 26.
Regular season
Shawano 6, Antigo 1
Riley Krueger led the Hawks with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored as Shawano beat Antigo 6-1.
Ayanna O’Kimosh hit 2-for-4 with a double. Also hitting doubles were Amiyah O’Kimosh and Kadence Meyers.
Meyers was the winning pitcher. In five innings, she allowed one run on one hit, walked two and struck out five.
Medford 2, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 0
Medford scored twice in the bottom of the fourth inning to beat Wittenberg-Birnamwood 2-0.
Rory Salvesen and Kennedy Benbo had the only two hits for the Chargers.
Kendall Lex pitched six innings. She gave up two runs on seven hits and struck out two.
Raiders’ pitcher Rylee Hardy struck out 10 Chargers.
