Clark, Panthers take top spot at NEC Championship

M&O Conference Championship

Gillett placed second and Lena was third at Parkway Golf Course in Pound.

Gillett’s 358 included Parker Jenerou at 86, Brody Halla at 90, and Chase Rosenlund and Bradyn Kiedrowski, each at 91.

Lena totaled 366, including Tanner Behnke at 86, Colt Miller at 88, Cooper Demmith at 90 and Zander Thomson at 102.

NEC Championship

Dylan Clark was the medalist with 73 as Oconto Falls won the conference championship meet with a 329 on the Brown County Golf Course in Green Bay.

Along with Clark, Brock McDermid had 81, Carson McDermid had 85 and Nick Schroeder had 90.

Tuesday, May 19

Thornberry Invitational

Menominee Nation/Gresham placed second with a 338 at Thornberry Creek at Oneida in Hobart, a meet hosted by Bonduel.

Marion finished sixth with a 363, Wittenberg-Birnamwood was 10th at 379 and Bonduel was 12th at 402.

“It wasn’t our worst outing of the year, but it was far from where we need to be,” Chargers Coach Chris Bartletti said. “This was our last regular season meet, and we need to put it behind us and focus on regionals.”

For Menominee Nation/Gresham, Allex Mahl had 81, Elliott Penass had 82, Gabe Boivin had 85 and Pepeakechiseah Cleveland had 90.

Marion’s scores were Javen Prickette and Collin Grognan, each at 88, Elijah Scheef at 92 and James Nolan at 95.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood had scores of Roman Johnson with 92, Slade Wierzba at 94, George Seegmiller at 95 and Nicholas Flak at 98.

Scoring for Bonduel were Tyson Lyons at 90, Joseph Felhofer at 98, Aiden Hillsberg at 105 and Gavin Hundt at 109.

Bay Conference Championship

Shawano had an incomplete team score at Wander Springs Golf Course in Greenleaf.

Scoring for the Hawks were T.J. Smith with 94 and Levi Anobong with 105.
