Bonduel stays unbeaten with win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood

Jan. 7 Bonduel 69, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 49 In a battle of unbeaten atop the Central Wisconsin East Conference, Bonduel emerged victorious with a 69-49 win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood. After a sluggish start going down 10 early, the Chargers played even with the Bears through the remainder of the first half. The second half proved to be a carbon copy, as the Bears trumped the Chargers by 20. Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Jett Rogowski led all scorers with 24 points, nearly half of his team’s total. For the Bears, they were led by Ryan Westrich with 19 points, Race Anvelink with 17, Cade Johnson with 13 and Quinn Wesenberg with 12. Anvelink had three 3-pointers. Westrich was 5-for-7 in free throws. The Bears improved to 5-0 in conference and 11-0 overall. The Chargers are 4-1 in conference and 5-2 overall. Tigerton 76, White Lake 29 Caleb Dahlstrom scored 15 points, including four 3-pointers, as Tigerton manhandled White Lake 76-29. Maverick Maas and James Brady each scored 14 points for the Tigers. Maas and Brady each pulled down six rebounds, Sam Anheuser had five assists, and Maas led with four steals.
