Daniel P. Jagla

Daniel P. Jagla, 75, of Townsend, passed away peacefully at The Cottages on Sunday morning, Oct. 27, 2024. Daniel was born in Shawano on March 17, 1949, a son of the late Daniel and Betty (Humboldt) Jagla. He attended Wabeno High School and graduated with the class of 1967. On Sept. 18, 1969, Daniel was drafted into the United States Army where he served through March 1, 1971. He then reenlisted on Dec. 3, 1980, and completed his service on May 4, 1993. Following his many years of service, he moved back to the Townsend area. Daniel was united in marriage to Chae Sun Chung while overseas in Korea. The marriage gave them their only daughter, Kymberly. The couple later divorced. His hobbies included camping, fishing, foraging, and being outdoors. He took part in the Special Olympics and Fishing Without Boundaries. Survivors include his children, Kymberly (Phillip) Blackwell, Mi Young Kim, Mi Ok Kim and Ho Min Kang; siblings, Tony (Amy) Jagla, Lori Feeley, Tobin Jagla, Tammy Jagla and Darci (Jim) Weigelt; and grandchildren, Daisy Blackwell, Claire Blackwell and Haddie Blackwell. He was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Feige. A memorial service for Daniel Jagla will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Oconto Falls Beach, 631 N. Main St., Oconto Falls, with military honors to follow. Pastor Kevin Kuhn will officiate. Visitation will begin at the beach on Saturday at 10 a.m. and continue until the time of service.
