Menominee tribe earns Focus on Energy award

The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin is one of 10 recipients of an annual award presented by Focus on Energy, the state’s energy efficiency program. “Homeowners, businesses, and government bodies should always be on the lookout for better ways to manage their use of energy,” said Sen. Robert Cowles (R-Green Bay). “It’s better for their wallets, better for the environment, and may help lessen the burden of energy rate increases.” Cowles said the Focus on Energy has been a big success.For every dollar spent through its programs, $4.08 has been generated in total economic benefits that stays in communities, according to the latest independent program analysis.
