After being open less than a year, Thrifty Books at 732 E. Green Bay St. (in the Fairview Plaza) has closed its doors.
Nathan and Wendy Powell opened the used bookstore Sept. 7, 2023.
The business’s last day was May 18. The couple announced on social media April 26 that the store would close July 1 but ended up closing six weeks early.
