• George Gardea-Eagle, 34, Oconto Falls, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision, for possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 23, 2023. Judge Michael Judge gave him credit for 26 days already served in the county jail.
• Skylar Alexis Anwash, 22, Wabeno, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to two counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 11. Judge scheduled a bail/bond hearing for June 4.
• Joey E. Kingsley, 43, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of resisting an officer and causing substantial bodily harm and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 23. Judge scheduled arraignment for June 13.

• Final preparations were made for the June 5-7 jury trial scheduled for Kevin J. Verhagen, 49, Little Suamico, on four counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 25, 2021. Judge told attorneys to submit their final witness lists by May 22.
• Bond was set at $7,500 cash for Angel Lee Mendoza, 31, Keshena, after he was charged with two counts of child neglect, two counts of felony bail jumping and a misdemeanor count of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (first offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 13. Judge adjourned his initial appearance until June 13.
• Bond was set at $2,500 cash for Cassandra Ann Braddock, 23, Keshena, after she was charged with misappropriating ID information to avoid penalty, possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), two counts of child neglect and misdemeanor bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 13. Judge adjourned her initial appearance until June 13.
Proceedings of May 14
• Isaac A. Bell, 18, Gillett, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred March 13. The battery charge was reduced from a felony in a plea agreement. Judge withheld sentencing and placed him on probation for 18 months with conditions including the 62 days he has already served in the county jail.
• Melvin Sterling Zarda, 29, Crandon, pleaded no contest to two counts of battery or threat to a law officer and a misdemeanor charge of battery, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 30, 2022. Judge Jay Conley scheduled sentencing for July 17 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
• Tyler Roger Coyle, 30, Neenah, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that occurred April 30, 2023. Judge scheduled sentencing for July 17 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
• Branden Paul James Lindsay, 27, Lakewood, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor count of bail jumping, in connection with an incident that occurred May 26, 2023. Judge scheduled sentencing for July 8 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
• Steven M. Ducat, 37, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense), five counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing an officer in a vehicle, two counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, operating while revoked, violating an ignition interlock order, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 17. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for June 13.
