Shawano, Pulaski lose on tennis courts

April 25 West De Pere 6, Shawano 1 Shawano’s No. 1 doubles team of Tristan Sheldon and George Buerman improved to 7-1 and are in the hunt for a conference championship after defeating their West De Pere opponents 6-4, 6-2. Unfortunately, that was also the only win for Shawano, as the Hawks lost the match 6-1. At No. 2 doubles, Tristan Tetting and Isaac Welander fought Will Mcmorrow and Brandon Reed to a tiebreaker but came up short 6-2, 7-6 (3). Tanner Thiel and Evan Anderson lost at No. 3 doubles. Singles losses were suffered by Andrew Vandenheuvel, Benjamin Langlois, Cristian Hernandez and Domenic Badalamenti. Notre Dame Academy 7, Pulaski 0 Pulaski’s Aran Capella collected the most wins for the Red Raiders in its 7-0 shut out at the hands of Notre Dame Academy. Capella lost 6-2, 6-2 to Zeb Zifferblatt at No. 3 singles. Other losses in singles play were by Justin Freadrich, Ryan Symons and Donovan Holderness. Doubles losses were by the teams of Jeffrey Sanders and Henry Piczkowski, Nathan Maroszek and Oscar Delmarcelle, and Jonah Drevs and William Gosse.
