Oconto Falls’ Riel is medalist at Luxemburg

April 16 Bay Conference Mini-Meet Shawano golfers placed fifth at a Bay Conference Mini-Meet at Mid Vallee Golf Course in De Pere. The Hawks carded a 214, well behind leader West De Pere’s 159. Shawano was paced by Tristan Miller’s 48, followed by Blake Knope’s 49, Cooper Montour’s 58 and Jakob Stuhr’s 59. Dan Bergman scored 64. North Eastern Conference Mega Meet Kadyn Riel of Oconto Falls was the medalist at the North Eastern Conference Mega Meet at Northbrook Golf & Grill in Luxemburg. His 75 was two strokes better than the runner-up, Brady Eastman of Marinette. The two teams tied for sixth place with a 361. Other Panthers and their scores were Carson McDermid 92, Jackson McDonald 97 and Nick Trepanier 97. Isaiah Hirst scored 99. April 15 Metro Invite Shawano golfers scored a 409 and placed 20th out of 20 teams at the Metro Invite at High Cliff Golf Course in Sherwood. Kimberly won the invite with a 306. Scoring for the Hawks were Blake Knope with an 87, Tristan Miller with a 90, Jakob Stuhr with a 115 and Duane Gristeau-Blanche with a 117. Daniel Bergmann shot a 124. Fox River Classic Conference Mini-Meet Pulaski scored a 331 and tied Sheboygan North at the Fox River Classic Conference Mini-Meet in Elkhart Lake. De Peter and Notre Dame Academy tied for the win at 308, followed by Bay Port with 314, and then Pulaski and Sheboygan North. Leading the Red Raiders was Colin Schultz with an 80. Other scores were Brady Hayward 81, Connor Burant 84 and Dixon Holewinski 86. Zachary Valeria carded a 93.
