Charger girls clean up at Warrior Invite

Wittenberg-Birnamwood runners captured five first-place finishes at the Wausau West Girls Warrior Invitational on April 4. Faith Resch won the 200-meter hurdles in 30.73 and the triple jump at 33-1.75. Harper Rogowski won the 400-meter dash in 1:08. The Chargers 4x400-meter relay team took the top spot in 4:37.72, while the 4x800-meter relay team won in 9:57.5. Second-place finishes were recorded by Kylee Beversdorf in the 800-meter run and Nora Bushman in the 3,200-meter run. Ava Brei captured third in the 200-meter dash, fourth in the 400-meter dash and fifth in the high jump. Resch placed third in the 55-meter hurdles. Bushman finished fourth n the triple jump. Sixth place went to the 4x160-meter relay team. In the shot put, it was Kelsie Davis in eighth. Mariah Wondra won a pair of events to lead Bonduel. She recorded a time of 12:44.21 in the 3,200-meter run and a time of 5:53.5 in the 1,600-meter run. Teagan Engel placed fifth in the 1,600-meter run. Ashlyn Kurey scored a second-place finish in the triple jump. The 4x400-meter relay team finished in third, and the 4x160-meter relay team placed fourth. Paige Niquette finished fourth in the 55-meter dash. Kurey placed fourth in the 200-meter dash, and Cierra Schnell was fourth in the long jump. Olivia Giese was fifth in the 55-meter hurdles, and Hailey Berg finished seventh. Audrey Weier placed fifth in the 200-meter hurdles with Schnell placing seventh. Engel earned sixth place in the 800-meter run. Coming in ninth in the 400-meter dash was Addison Raymakers. Weier was 10th in the high jump, and Josie Anvelink was 10th in the shot put. Shawano’s team best was a third-place finish in four events – Hatty Fritz in the shot put, Macey Nelson in the triple jump and the long jump, and 4x800-meter relay team. Maci Beyer finished fourth in the high jump and fourth in the 800-meter run. Coming in fifth were Grace Chelberg in the 400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay team. Nelson was seventh in the 200-meter dash, and Onna Hermann was eighth. The 4x160-meter relay team placed seventh. Lauren Seehafer was 10th in the 55-meter dash. Leading Menominee Indian’s contingent was Lena Wausau, who placed sixth in the triple jump. Alexis Zhuckkahosee was eighth in the 55-meter dash, and the 4x160-meter relay team was also eighth.
