Harold Dean Tester, 80, of Watauga County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Feb. 17, 2024, in Oconto Falls.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1944, to the late Henry Clay and Vertie Alice Tester.
Pa or Tennessee, as he was also known, served in the U.S. Army for one year and 10 months, demonstrating his commitment to his country. Following his military service, he dedicated himself to a 35-year career as a truck driver, showcasing his strong work ethic. In his free time, Pa enjoyed fishing, camping, being outside, driving around and spending quality time with his family. He was described as kind, carefree and someone who would go above and beyond to help others. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather.
Harold is survived by his 11 children, 26 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son Timothy Tester and daughter Kristina Tester.
Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. Food and a celebration will be held at S&S in Oconto Falls at 2:30 p.m. to honor and remember (Pa) Harold Dean Tester.
