The Shawano Area Writers is calling for entries for the 18th annual George Putz Memorial Student Writing Contest.
Every student in grades 1-12 who lives or goes to school in either Shawano or Menominee counties is encouraged to submit entries in fiction, nonfiction and poetry categories. There is no entry fee.
Students compete for a chance to win cash prizes and a Certificate of Achievement. Students can submit as many entries as they would like. The contest deadline is April 6. All entries are judged anonymously by an independent panel of writers.
