To the editor:
This is an open letter to all students and staff of Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District.
I’m not sure if it’s the devastating turmoil in the world, personal medical issues or the holidays bringing out my emotions, but I feel compelled to tell all of those whom I may have ever crossed paths with, that you are a rare and beautiful gift.
I hope that whether you’re happy and successful or struggling and lost that you know deep down how important your life is and how truly great this world can be if your goodness can shine through.
Know, also, that I send this to all those you may think of as “less than” you, or not as “worthy” or “right” as you. Every life is a treasure, and we must find a way to look at each other beyond those things that seem to separate us. Yes, there is evil and hate and injustice, but only love can fight them. Not governments, but people. Us.
