Ruby A. Christensen

Ruby A. Christensen, 76, of Cecil, passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022. Ruby was born on June 8, 1946, to the late Oscar and Johannah (Hischke) Block in Oconto Falls. On Aug. 12, 1967, Ruby married Norman Christensen at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pulcifer. Ruby owned and operated the Gillett Beauty Center for over 30 years. Ruby was very active in the community. She served as a Cub Scout leader, youth group leader, Sunday school teacher, and ladies aid member. Ruby was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and walking. Ruby greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to Camp Luther in the summer. Ruby is survived by her husband, Norman; five children, Kelly, Kim (Kevin) Hendrikson, Kyle (Karen), Kerry (Carrie), and Kara (Jesse) Tulogeski; 12 grandchildren, Thomas, Alexis, Paige, Peyton, Pamela, Bailey, Ryan, Aidan, Joshua, Justine, Megan, and Michael; sister, Ruth Christensen; brothers, Ruben Block and Russell (Kathy) Block; sisters-in-law, Delores Christensen, Rochelle Christensen, and Marlene Christensen; brother-in-law, Joe Ondik. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 4-8 p.m. Visitation resumes on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Ruby will be interred at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
