Kathleen Anderson, 76, of Gillett, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 29, 2021, at her home. Kathleen, the youngest of two children, was born June 8, 1945, in Milwaukee to Boleslaus “Curly” and Helen Zuber. Kathleen grew up in Milwaukee where she attended Catholic schools and graduated from high school.
On June 6, 1964, she married the love of her life and best friend, Jerome Anderson. The couple lived in Milwaukee for the first few years but soon moved all four children to Gillett in 1972 where they settled for 49 years. Kathleen worked several years at Russel’s Low Drug, IGA Grocery Store, and OJ’s Midtown Restaurant, before spending the majority of her work life working at Wells Fargo Bank where she retired after 25 years.
Kathleen and her husband enjoyed fishing and NASCAR. Oftentimes over the years, Kathleen was able to take several long hauls with her husband who was a truck driver and see the country.
Kathleen enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and canning. During the Christmas Holiday months, Kathleen was in charge of decorating the bank tree every year. She always made sure to a have a theme for the tree for that season. This required creating new ideas each year and new decorations. All of her customers were excited to see what creative idea she would come up with each year.
