Julie A. Hansen (nee Voigt), 60, of Waldo, formerly of Shawano, passed away Friday morning, March 25, 2022, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
She was born on Nov. 4, 1961 in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late Ronald Voigt and Joy (Williamson) Robinson.
Julie attended Waldo and Sheboygan Falls grade schools and graduated from Racine Park High School in 1980.
On Feb. 29, 1992, she married Thomas Hansen. He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2014.
She worked for Reliance Time Controls in Racine for over 30 years retiring in 2016.
Julie enjoyed flowers, gardening, was an avid rock collector, reading, animals and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include stepmother, Diane Voigt, of Florida; her siblings, Jim (Patti), of Greenbush, Linda (Dan) Stachow, of Racine, Traci Johnson (fiancé Eric Galstad), of North Carolina, and Kim (Brian) Sippel, of St. Cloud; nieces and nephews, Tyler (Tiffany) Voigt, Jacob (Anna) Voigt, Melissa (Armando) Martinez, William Stachow, Alexa and Shayna Van Epern, and Alyssa Mahloch; great-nieces, Rosa and Amelia Martinez, Olivia and Maribelle Voigt; and a great-nephew on the way. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, her husband and one brother, David.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life for both Julie and her brother, David Voigt, will take place on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 6 p.m. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Philip Reifenberg will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in both Julie and David’s name.
