Richard H. Wamboldt Sr.

Richard H. Wamboldt Sr., 66, of the Town of Hutchins, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, Nov. 19, 2021, in Clintonville. Richard Henry Wamboldt Sr. was born May 15, 1955, in Milwaukee, son to the late Alexander and Anna (Hanson) Wamboldt Jr. He attended Bowler High School and later started working for Atlas Structures. He worked at various places over the years but found his fit at Aarrowcast Inc. foundry in Shawano, and later Iroquois Foundry Co. in Browntown, where he was a core room manager. Rick was an avid fisherman all his life, sharing his passion with his children. Any spare time was spent fishing on any lake or river he could find, including Lake Michigan with his father while growing up. He traveled all over the state with his sons and son-in-law looking for the next “hot bite.” They mostly enjoyed walleye and bass fishing, but recently got the opportunity to go out on a salmon charter, which he loved. Rick also enjoyed the time he was able to spend in St. Clair Township, Michigan, just northeast of Detroit, and was proud to attend a Detroit Tigers game wearing his Milwaukee Brewers gear. He loved his children and adored his grandchildren, and was so grateful for the time he was able to spend with them. Richard is survived by his significant other, Vickie Spencer; daughter, Brandia (Jamie) Kutchek, Neenah; sons, Richard (Rachele) Wamboldt Jr., Eland, and Anthony (Amanda) Wamboldt, Wausau; grandchildren, Lorelei, Katia, Corryn, Cabela, Ellie, Archer and Hunter; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” Wamboldt. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James Wamboldt and Robert Behling. As per Richard’s wishes, no formal services will be held, but the Wamboldt family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
