Darrel J. Amond

Darrel J. Amond, 81, of Two Rivers, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021. Darrel was born on Good Friday, April 11, 1941, to the late Wallace and Viola (Anderson) Amond. He graduated from Gillett High School where he played football. Darrel served in the U.S. Army in the early 1960s and was stationed in Alaska. For most of his life, Darrel worked as a foundry worker and retired from Eck Industries Inc. in Manitowoc. He loved sports and watched any sporting events he could. Darrel was also an avid gardener and sold his produce. He loved good food, especially at family events. Darrel is survived by his siblings, David (Connie) Amond of Neenah, Douglas Amond of Neenah, Dan (Carrie) Amond of Lena and Dorene (Keith) Schindel of Oconto Falls; stepdaughter, Tina Christman. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Donald Amond, Eleanor Braun, and infant sister, Carol Amond; sister-in-law, Dorothy Amond. A private memorial service will be held for Darrel.
