Gaynor Mae Stephenson, 79, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. Gaynor was born May 15, 1941, to the late Arnold and Lydia (Huntington) Miller in Red Springs. She graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1959. On April 23, 1960, Gaynor was united in marriage to Guy Stephenson in Sturgeon Bay. Guy preceded her in death in 1984. She lived in Sheboygan for several years before returning to the Shawano area.
Gaynor worked at the North Star Mohican Casino until her retirement. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Gaynor enjoyed exploring garage sales and collecting pig memorabilia. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Gaynor is survived by her sons, Glenn Stephenson, of Sheboygan, Gary Stephenson, of Sheboygan Falls, and Greg Stephenson, of Sun Prairie; siblings, Claudette Weiterman, of Gresham, Andrea Smith, of Sturgeon Bay, Marsha Toohey, of Bowler, and Patti (Nubs) Exferd, of Oconto; an aunt, Delores Ziemer, of Oshkosh; an uncle, Bert (Carol) Huntington, of Shawano; and good friend, Pat Gruetzmacher. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother, Bruce Miller.
Private family services will be held. Inurnment will be held in Bayside Cemetery in Sturgeon Bay.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of the Ella Besaw Center, Shawano Health Services and the staff at ThedaCare Medical Center of Shawano for helping Gaynor.
