Greetings, residents of Morgan and the surrounding communities! This is the reappearance of a column written with the interests of town of Morgan residents in mind.
I have been a resident of Morgan for only about a year, but grew up in Abrams and am definitely familiar with the area. If your organization would like to share information about an upcoming event or activity, please feel free to email megan.stranz@gmail.com or visit the Morgan website, www.townofmorgan.org.
The Town Board hopes this column will help grow community involvement as a way to make Morgan an even better place to live.
One big event coming up right here in Morgan is the Oconto County Breakfast on the Farm, on Sunday, June 14 (rain or shine), at Golden Corners Dairy at 8551 Holtz Road. The gracious hosts are Bev and John Wolf, Andy Wolf and Bryan Wolf.
A delicious and hearty breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a family-friendly occasion with plenty of attractions, including live music, a petting zoo, antique engine display, Wisconsin celebrities Mad Dog and Merrill, face painting and pedal pulls.
Think of Breakfast on the Farm as a wonderful opportunity to meet up with neighbors while taking pride in Oconto County’s dairy industry.
It takes many volunteers to make Breakfast on the Farm a success, so this is really an event that showcases community collaboration.
Hope to see you there, neighbor!
In addition to Breakfast on the Farm on June 14, there are a few other upcoming dates to remember. On Monday, June 8, the town of Morgan will conduct its board of review from 8-10 a.m., with the monthly Morgan Town Board meeting later that day at 7 p.m. Save the date of Saturday, Aug. 8, for the Morgan-Green Valley Fire Company picnic.
