Marian H. Boreen, 88, of Wittenberg, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Ministry St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston.
She was born on May 11, 1927, in Wittenberg, the daughter of the late John and Mayme (Hamilton) Boreen.
Marian owned and operated the former Wittenberg Locker Plant. She also worked for Nueske’s Meats for a number of years. Marian enjoyed going to rummage sales, crocheting, knitting, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include one brother, Vernon (Marion) Boreen, Green Bay, and two sisters-in-law, June Boreen, Menomonie, and Esther Boreen, Wittenberg. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by six brothers, Howard, Floyd, Vincent, Kenneth, Arlyn and Donald, and two sisters, Gladys and Mildred.
The Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of services, all at the funeral home.
