Louise E. Christensen

Louise Emma Christensen, 78, of Suring, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at home with family by her side. Louise was born on May 27, 1943, to the late Edward and Agnes (Wozniak) Rueckert. She graduated from Suring High School with the Class of 1961. On Aug. 1, 1963, Louise married Ronald Lee Christensen. They raised three children together before Ronald’s passing on April 24, 1988. Louise worked at Elliott Glove Company and Woodland Village as a certified nurse aide. She was a longtime member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Louise was an adventurous spirit, who traveled throughout her life. She liked to keep herself busy and enjoyed helping others whenever she could. Louise was a loving and caring mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Louise is survived by her children, Tina Christensen, Ron (Kristine) Christensen, and Ross (Courtney) Christensen; siblings, Ben (Maryann) Rueckert, Harvey (Pat) Rueckert, Eugene (Jolene) Rueckert, Beverly Ward, Luella Ward, Barb Kiesling, and Nancy Rueckert; grandchildren, Ashleigh Christensen (Tommy Harper), Kevin Christensen (Nicole Olson), Cody (Morgan) Christensen, John Christensen (Brinley Kowalkowski), Conner Christensen, Logan Christensen, and Cason Christensen; and great-grandchild, Ashton Christensen. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; brother, John (Pam) Rueckert; sister, Phyllis (Bob) Goodletson; and brothers-in-law, Bion Ward, Carl Ward, and Heinz Kiesling. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Michael Paholke officiating.
