Lori Linzmeyer

Lori Linzmeyer, 51, Suring, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 11, 2013, after a yearlong battle with brain cancer. She was born on Jan. 16, 1962, to Charles M. Wolcott (Porkie) and the late Beverly Honeyager Wolcott. Lori married Michael Linzmeyer on June 20, 1997. Lori loved animals and ran a therapy and rescue. There was not an animal that was not welcome into Lori’s home and heart, be it horses, birds, dogs or flying squirrels. The residents and staff at Woodlands Village Nursing Home in Suring, where Lori loved working, enjoyed the animals Lori would bring to put a smile on everyone’s face. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her. Lori is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Mike S. Linzmeyer; stepchildren, Kellie A. Linzmeyer and Michael R. Linzmeyer; granddaughter, Skyla; brother, David Wolcott; father, Charles Wolcott; many brother- and sister-in-laws; and also her special friends that never left her side, Sabrina, Scoobie and Casper. Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Wolcott, and mother-in-law, Mary Jean Linzmeyer. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 22 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 13346 County Road AA, Suring (Breed). Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Nov. 22 at the church.
