Black Friday deals will be available at the Shawano City-County Library on Nov. 27.
The Doorbuster Sale runs from 8-10 a.m. and features 50 percent off all fines. Replacement library cards are free during the Early Bird Special from 8 a.m. to n0on, and a Buy One Get One Free used-book sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The children’s department will feature a drop-in craft — making a Rudolph gift bag — from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Teen programs, running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature Wii games. Teens also can sign up for the Not So Summer Reading program, which runs through Jan. 4.
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate, sponsored by the Friends of Shawano County Libraries Inc., will be available for those looking for a warm treat and a few minutes to relax during Black Friday.
Beginning at 11 a.m., a free lunch of soup and bread will be available, funded in part with a grant from the Institute of Museum & Library Services, which administers the Library Services & Technology Act.
