On the April 2 election, there will be two constitution referendums. A little history as to why these referendums came to being.
During the 2020 elections, Mark Zukerberg funneled millions of dollars into selected local elections. The primary cities of Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha collectively received $8.8 million with Green Bay receiving $1.6 million. The money was funneled through Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL). The CTCL money came with specific requirements, or the cities would have to pay that money back.
Also, during the 2020 November election, a New York liberal operative funded with the CTCL money played a critical role in running the central count in Green Bay. His name is Michael Spitzer-Rubenstein.
We all know that clerks employ many dedicated volunteers that live in the voting district. The second referendum would ensure non-resident people such as Michael Spitzer-Rubenstein cannot disrupt our very important local elections.
Question 1: Shawano Republican Party recommends a yes vote. Prohibits any level of government in the state from applying or accepting non-governmental funds or equipment for election administration. A “yes” vote on this referendum would amend the Wisconsin Constitution to essentially stop “Zuckerbucks” from influencing our election administration here in Wisconsin.
Question 2: Shawano Republican Party recommends a yes vote. Provides that only election officials designated by law may administer elections. A “yes” vote on this question will amend the Wisconsin Constitution to make clear that only election officials designated by law may administer elections. Again, this is an effort to stop Zuckerberg and Co. from embedding non-governmental officials in our election administration and operations.
