To the editor:
It is supposed to be an American standard that we are all created equal. If our gifts and talents were equal, the supermarkets and the department stores would not exist. These blessings exist because millions of people from all walks of life are gifted and talented differently.
However, we all have the same equal birthright. If we respect God as our father, he respects us individually as his personal family members. Our judgement is not based on what we accomplish in comparison to what other people accomplish. Our judgement is based on what we do with the individual gifts and talents that we are given to work with.
The widow does not have the same function in life that the multi-billionaire has, but in God’s family, they are still brothers and sisters with an equal eternal value. In being created in the spiritual image of God, human beings are the only creatures in all of God’s creation with artistic imagination to design new things or to change things that we were designed to do at the time of our creation.
