To the editor:
As a Howard resident and small-business owner, I have been fortunate to have David Steffen as my Wisconsin Assembly representative for many years. Now, with the 2024 redrawing of Assembly district lines, Steffen’s territory has expanded into Suamico, Little Suamico, Lena, Abrams, Oconto Falls and Oconto. This is great news for the constituents in those areas.
In addition to serving on the state Assembly since 2015, Steffen has served on the Howard Village Board, the Brown County Board of Supervisors and a multitude of committees and task forces. He has always been passionate about representing his constituents and preserving traditional family values. I’ve always admired his grasp of the current issues, his tenacity and problem solving abilities, and his diplomacy to reach across party lines to get things done. I love that, whenever I have a question, he is just a phone call or an email away.
Experience matters. With the serious issues we are facing in these troubled times, experience matters even more. We need Steffen to continue the fight against wasteful spending of our tax dollars, fentanyl and sex trafficking, absentee ballot fraud and more. We need him to continue cutting income taxes, caring for seniors and their retirement income, and keeping traditional values at the forefront.
I want to encourage all voters to cast their ballot for David Steffen in the primary on Aug. 13, and again in the general election in November.
Mary Kay Minnis, Howard
