To the editor:
I first met Jeanne Reinholz Cronce when I began teaching at Lincoln School in 1977. I worked with her as a fellow teacher for many years and then was fortunate to have her as our Lincoln School principal later in my career. I feel that Jeanne Reinholz Cronce is the best candidate for mayor of our great city of Shawano.
Jeanne was born and raised in Shawano and returned here following her education to begin a successful career as an elementary teacher and then later as the principal at Shawano Middle School and Lincoln Elementary School. Jeanne understands and treasures the history of Shawano. She has always worked to make Shawano a better community. When I worked with Jeanne, she was a wonderful resource who would share the history of Shawano and the families that live here.
When Jeanne became a principal, I witnessed her outstanding leadership skills. She has a welcoming personality that makes everyone feel important and willing to share their ideas. She was able to work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents and fellow administrators. I was involved in numerous committees that Jeanne facilitated that demonstrated her ability to lead and facilitate change in our school district. Jeanne was respected by everyone because of her ability to listen to all sides of an issue and involve participants in making a unified decision.
Jeanne has a vast experience in working with groups in our community. She has also the experience in working with a budget and making the difficult decisions in prioritizing budget decisions. She will be able to work with our city administrator and city council in wisely making decisions regarding our tax dollars.
I urge you to consider voting for Jeanne Cronce. She will make a great mayor.
Carole Foreman,
Shawano
