Keesha J. Madosh

Keesha “Kenëkiew” Jade Madosh, 20, of Keshena, began her journey to the Spirit World on Sunday morning, May 24, 2015, in Appleton, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Keesha was born Aug. 23, 1994, in Shawano. She attended Menominee Indian High School, graduating in 2012. She then attended the College of Menominee Nation, graduating with a degree in office technology in 2013. She was currently employed at the Menominee Tribal Court. On Nov. 6, 2011, she met her soul mate, Ronald Wescott Jr., and they became engaged on Sept. 6, 2014. Keesha’s hobbies included spending time with her “pack of children” and family. She also enjoyed playing volleyball and was an avid sports fan. Keesha is survived by her fiancé, Ronald Wescott Jr., and their “pack of children,” Roxy, Tonka, Rufus, Capone, Awaesaeh and Girly; her mother, Kara Madosh (Jesse Tucker); her birth father, Leland LaMotte, and her “Dad,” Lawrence “Joe” Summers; her grandmas, Melody (Madosh) Summers and Cecilia “Esaw” Madosh; her “Nekiah and Dad,” Louella Waubanascum and Ronald Wescott Sr.; her grandmothers, Betsy Gauthier and Bernice Shawano; her siblings, Monae Waukau, Mark Waukau III, NaKadin Boyd, and dear sisters Leslie Corn and Shawn Marie Summers, as well as special sisters, Mariah, Andrea, Rosalie, DrewAlaya, Chaunee and Heather. She is further survived by her nieces, RaeAnne, Avianna, Camille, Carmella and Chloe; her nephews, Joseph, John, Chris Jr., Jeremy Jr. and Liam; her brothers-in- law and sisters-in-law, Craig (Kristi) Wescott, Jeremy (Kyra) Wescott Sr. and Chris (Chenoa) Wescott Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Keesha was preceded in death by her beloved dogs, Champ and Roscoe; her grandfather, Leon “Sal” Penass; her great-grandparents, Clifford and Ella Madosh Sr.; her grandparents-in-law, Earl and Rosene Wescott Sr.; and a cousin-in-law, Kyle Richmond. A Funeral Mass for Keesha will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. The Rev. David McElroy, O. Praem, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Neopit. Relatives and friends may call at the Wilfred Madosh residence, N3664 Second Ave., Neopit, after 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, until 1 p.m. Saturday when the procession leaves for church. A spiritual prayer service will be conducted by the family on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Madosh residence. Mickelson Funeral & Cremation Service of Shawano is assisting the family with arrangements.
