Kathryn J. Waubanascum

Kathryn J. Waubanascum, 71, of Neopit, passed away on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at her home. Kathryn was born in Shawano on Oct. 7, 1944, the daughter of the late Merton and Victoria (Grignon) Everson. She was united in marriage to William “Junior” Waubanascum Jr. on Feb. 1, 1969, in Shawano. Kathryn worked as a teacher’s aide for 22 years at the Menominee Middle School. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit and enjoyed fishing, watching the Packers, going to powwows, and loved watching her grandchildren play sports. Kathryn is survived by her husband, William “Junior”; four children, Michael (Bridget Claire), of Green Bay, Brent (Sandra), of De Pere, William III (Regina), of Neopit, and Dean (Shawna), of Tacoma, Washington; 16 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She is further survived by her sisters, Ruth Lohnes, of North Dakota, Romaine (Orland) Delebreau, of Neopit, and Lee Ann Nacotee, of Neopit. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Michael, Timothy, Melva, Edward, Joseph and Robert. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
