Authorities responding to a report of a prowler Tuesday morning arrested a 16-year-old Pulaski male on possible burglary charges.
Shawano County sheriff’s deputies were called just before 8 a.m. to the area of Elm Road near Deer Drive in the town of Angelica.
The Sheriff’s Department said a resident had noticed unusual activity and provided a description of a subject who left the area on a bicycle.
Deputies searched the area with the help of the Pulaski Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol and the Shawano Police Department K9 unit.
Authorities found the bicycle near a different home in the area. The area immediately surrounding the residence was contained, with a portion of Deer Drive being temporarily closed.
Law enforcement officials issued numerous verbal commands for the subject to leave the residence. As deputies prepared to enter the residence, the subject surrendered without incident.
An initial assessment of the scene indicated that the suspect had allegedly forced entry through a window. An investigation into this matter is ongoing.
The juvenile was transferred to the Shawano County Department of Social Services.
The Sheriff’s Department is preparing charges alleging burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal trespass to a dwelling and criminal damage to property.
