June M. Jones

June M. Jones, 76, of Spiegel Road, Tigerton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah. The former June Marie Mitchell was born on Feb. 17, 1937, in London, England, to John Sorfleet and Mary Mitchell. She moved from England to Milwaukee in 1987. June was united in marriage to Robert W. Jones in Milwaukee, and he preceded her in death in 2003. She moved north and settled in Tigerton in 2005. June was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Morris. She enjoyed traveling, deer hunting and animals, especially her dogs and cats. June loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include two daughters, Amelia “Jackie” Toombes, of Enfield, Middlesex, England, and Linda (Tom) Trimble, of London, England. There are two grandchildren, George and Elaine; a special friend, Gordon Spiegel, of Tigerton; and many other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a granddaughter. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Morris. Pastor John Hielsberg will officiate, and inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
