June ag price report issued

The average price received by farmers for corn during June in Wisconsin was $4.24 per bushel according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Agricultural Prices report. This was 1 cent below the May price and $2 below June 2023. The June 2024 average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $12.80 per bushel, was $1.10 above the May price but $1.10 below the June 2023 price. The June average oat price per bushel, at $2.90, was $1.32 below May and $1.31 below June 2023. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $190 per ton in June. This was $13 above the May price and $39 above the June 2023 price. The June 2024 alfalfa hay price, at $199, was $14 above the previous month and $44 above June 2023. The average price received for other hay during June was $136 per ton. This was $14 below the May price but $9 above June last year. The average price for milk was $22.10 per hundredweight, 80 cents above the May price and $5.70 above June 2023.
