Joanne Gail Busch, 71, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, in Shawano. Joanne was born in Oconto Falls on Sept. 14, 1944, the daughter of the late Henry and Nora (Gallagher) Belke. She was united in marriage to August G. Busch Jr. on May 15, 1965, in Oconto Falls. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 2001.
Joanne worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Gillett nursing home until her retirement. She was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church in Gillett and enjoyed spending time with her dog, Kookie.
Joanne is survived by her children, Laura (Vince) Weier and Tim (Katie) Busch, both of Cecil; one grandson, Wyatt; her brother, Myles (Jean) Belke, of Bonduel; and two sisters, Elaine Schenk, of Shawano, and Judy (Anthony) Wegner, of Cecil.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August; her parents; and three brothers, Richard, Wayne and Mike.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at Faith United Lutheran Church, 11465 Old U, Gillett, with the Rev. John Laatsch officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Pulcifer. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
