Jack Tessier, 88, of Lisle, Illinois, died peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015. He was born April 14, 1927, in Spruce to Charlie and Clara (Echtner) Tessier.
Jack was the beloved husband of the late Bette (nee Hanstedt); loving father of Greg (Jean), Gussie, Elisa (Drew Glassford), the late Curtis and son-in-law Anthony Lullo; adored grandfather of eight.
Jack, affectionately known as “Tater,” was a U.S. Army World War II veteran who served in the European Theater. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his masters degree from Temple University.
He retired after more than 30 years as a nuclear physicist from Argonne National Laboratory.
Jack was a part-owner of the Green Bay Packers and an inquisitive, lifelong learner. He was a Life Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and a loving and involved father and grandfather.
The family wishes to thank the Assisi Health Care Center staff of Clare Oaks in Bartlett, Illinois, for their compassionate care.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls with Pastor Doreen Jeffers officiating. Interment will follow in Wanderer’s Rest Cemetery, Gillett.
