The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Wisconsin Conservation Congress will be holding their spring hearings from 6-9 p.m. April 13.
In Shawano County, the hearing will be at the Shawano Community Middle School, 1050 S. Union St., Shawano. The Oconto County hearing will be in the cafeteria at Suring High School, 411 E. Algoma St., Suring; and the Menominee County hearing will be in the County Board Room at the Menominee County Courthouse, W3269 Courthouse Lane, Keshena (enter through the sheriff’s department).
Fish and wildlife staff, wardens and more will be on hand along with WCC delegates to review the spring hearing questions and discuss resource management and local issues of interest.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive and sign in beginning at 6 p.m. DNR staff presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m. WCC delegate elections get underway at 7 p.m., followed by a review of the spring hearing questions with DNR staff and WCC delegates.
Two of the five WCC delegates in each county are up for election. County residents wanting to run for a seat or vote for delegates should bring proof of residency.
The spring hearing online input opportunity will be available from 6 p.m. April 13 to 6 p.m. April 15.
