The Oconto Falls Friends of the Arts continue their 2015-2016 Fine Arts Series with a performance by the Wisconsin Singers at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in the Falls Area Performing Arts Center.
Featuring the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s most talented singer/dancers and instrumentalists, the Wisconsin Singers will perform a Broadway-caliber show that promises to entertain the entire family.
“Absolutely Classic!” is written by Robert Dietz, arranger for NBC’s “The Sing Off!” and choreographed by Broadway professionals. It features more than 60 songs from legends such as Tony Bennett and Michael Jackson and pop icons Justin Timberlake and One Direction, plus performances from Broadway classics such as “Miss Saigon,” “Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Music Man.”
Children of all ages will laugh aloud at Snoopy singing “Suppertime” and enjoy Pinocchio singing “I Got No Strings!”
The celebrated Wisconsin Singers band will rock the house with well-known television themes, as well as the sounds of Journey and Etta James. Badger fans won’t want to miss the Singers’ rendition of the Fifth Quarter where audiences sing “Varsity,” dance to “Tequila” and jump around to “Teach me how to Bucky.”
