Tom Borko

Tom Borko, 62, Stiles, died early Monday morning, March 11, 2024, following a 24-year illness with COPD. He was born May 17, 1961, in Manistique, Michigan, to Steven and Mary Ann (New) Borko. Tom grew up in Manistique where he graduated high school. He went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. On March 11, 2004, he married Linda Dantinne in Oconto. Tom lived in the area for most of his life where he was employed as a carpenter and most recently with Beyond Abilities. He also started an online COPD support group, which has grown over the years to over 18,000 people. At one time, he enjoyed goose and duck hunting as well as fishing. Tom also loved playing the guitar and interacting with his five grandchildren. Survivors are his wife of 20 years, Linda Borko, Stiles; four stepdaughters, Candie Dantinne, Stacey (Joel) Hutzler, Kim (Tom) Dagit and Tiffaney (Corey) VandenBush, all of Green Bay; five grandchildren, Parker Hutzler, Miles and Mollie Dagit, Eli and Ellie VandenBush; one sister, Ann Borko, Manistique, Michigan; one niece, Rachel Norman, Green Bay; his dog, Harper. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be a celebration of life at a later date in Manistique, Michigan. Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls is serving the Borko family.
