Terrence “Terry” “Toliver” J. Gauthier, 68, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Appleton. Terry was born in Keshena on Jan. 27, 1947, to the late Herman and Doris (Mahkimetas) Gauthier. He lived in the Chicago area for 20 years, returning to Shawano in 1993. Terry was a baptized member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit and enjoyed playing bingo.
Terry is survived by his children, Michelle (Michael) Garnett, of Rosemont, Illinois, and Robin Waukau, of Keshena; three brothers, Greg (Elsa) Gauthier, of Germany, William Wallace, of Shawano, and James Martin (Laverne) Wallace, of Minneapolis. He is further survived by his grandchildren, including Maran and McKayla, and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew Robert Wallace.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gauthier; one son, Michael; his parents; one sister, Patricia DeLaCruz; and one nephew, Peter Kim Denning.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
