The Shawano Ski Sharks racked up 1,374.88 points and earned the Division 2 state title at the 2026 Wisconsin Water Ski Show Championship held July 16-19 at Lake Wazeecha in Wood County.
The Ski Sharks earned first place in the Dock and Equipment Personnel, Tow Boat Driving, Overall Show, Doubles and Pyramid categories.
Ryan Strachan was named Most Valuable Male.
Second place was earned in Showmanship, Barefoot, Jump and Swivel.
A third-place award was earned in Sound Crew Total and Ballet.
Fourth-place finishes were earned in the categories of Production and High Individual Club Act.
Shawano placed fifth in the Pick-Up Boat Crews.
Celebrating 50 years this summer, the Ski Sharks perform Wednesday evenings through Aug. 19 on the shores of the Wolf River at Smalley Park in Shawano. The pre-show begins at 5:30 p.m., with the show getting underway at 6 p.m.
Shows are always free to the public; however, donations are appreciated. Concessions are offered on-site at every show (cash only). Bottled water, soda, sports drinks, burgers, brats and popcorn are all for sale. Raffle tickets are available at each show.
Bleacher seating is available. Many people also bring lawn chairs or blankets.
