The Oconto Area Humane Society will celebrate its 10th anniversary with an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22. The shelter has devoted 10 years to reuniting lost pets with their families and finding homes for stray and abandoned animals in the area.
The open house will feature an inflatable bouncer, face painting, vendors, a bake sale and lots of warm, fuzzy friends. The event is free to attend, and refreshments will be available. All activities will be held at the shelter, 150 S. Katch Drive, Oconto.
A drawing will take place at 2 p.m. to determine winners of the shelter’s summerlong raffle. Prizes include a Ruger 10/22 50th Anniversary model rifle, a Barnett Raptor crossbow, casino stays and a luggage set.
