Coach Ryan Koenig said it was Hawks’ good team defense that led to its 59-32 non-conference win over D.C. Everest.
Leah Nordin led Shawano with 23 points. Anna Dreier added another 10, as Shawano improved to 11-3.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 67, Iola-Scandinavia 24
Melaina Granquist scored 24 points including six 3-pointers to lead Wittenberg-Birnamwood to a 67-24 win over Iola-Scandinavia.
Harper Rogowski scored 16 points, and Rory Salvesen added another 15, as the Chargers held a comfortable 39-14 lead at halftime.
“I thought we played a great defensive game tonight,” coach Nick Mechelke said. “Iola threw a couple zone defenses against us, and Melaina decided to open up her game, knocking down six 3s tonight. She was really hunting down her shot.”
Faith Resch led Wittenberg-Birnamwood with three assists and six steals. Granquist had four rebounds.
Menominee Nation 58, Green Bay East 41
Urijih Reevis scored 17 points, and Aaliyah Corn scored 15 as Menominee Nation beat Green Bay East 58-41.
Corn pulled down 13 rebounds, and Reevis had 10. Reevis also had six assists and four steals.
