Sharon Rosenlund, 78, Oconto Falls, formerly of Gillett and Silver Cliff, died Sunday morning, Jan. 3, 2016, with family present at Sharpe Care, following a five-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on Dec. 20, 1937, in West Allis to Norbert and Leone (Kroening) Niber.
On June 30, 1994, she married Gerhard “Rosy” Rosenlund in Silver Cliff. Sharon worked in various capacities at Jungle Jim’s in Silver Cliff, where she enjoyed serving people for many years.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls and was once active in the Ladies Aide.
Sharon liked to travel to Branson with her husband, Harley Davidson motorcycles, seeing lighthouses and just being with people. Sharon will be fondly remembered as someone who saw the world through rose-colored glasses, touching everyone she met with a positive attitude and love.
Survivors are her husband, Rosy Rosenlund, Oconto Falls; two daughters, Sandy Kasten, Green Bay, and Sue (special friend Sonny) Bomski, Crivitz; Rosy’s children, Wanda (Gordon) Hannaford, Loveland, Colorado; Kristine (Kevin) Anderson, Lakewood; Terri (Steve) Lenz, Minnesota; Glenn (Susan Froelich) Rosenlund, Kelvin “Fuzzy” (Kelly Wolske) Rosenlund, all of Suring; and Mark (Penny) Rosenlund, Oconto Falls; 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Joan Fetterly.
Visitation with the urn present will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Matthew Arnold officiating.
